How We Review
Research Methodology
All content on Health Perk is grounded in peer-reviewed research — PubMed, Cochrane Reviews, and published clinical trials. We cite primary sources directly. No single study is treated as conclusive; we look for replication and scientific consensus before making a recommendation.
Expert Review
Every article is reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional before publication — registered dietitians, medical doctors, or certified health practitioners, depending on the topic. The reviewer's name and credentials are credited in the article footer.
How We Evaluate Products
For supplements, we assess: purity and potency, third-party testing certificates (NSF International, USP, Informed Sport), manufacturing standards (GMP compliance), and whether the dosage aligns with clinical evidence.
For devices, we compare accuracy against medical-grade benchmarks and review the methodology behind manufacturer claims.
For apps, we evaluate feature completeness, the evidence base of techniques used (such as CBT or mindfulness protocols), and the app's own privacy policy.
Independence & Affiliate Disclosure
Editorial scores are never influenced by brand relationships. Brands cannot pay to improve their rating or placement. Where affiliate links are present, this is disclosed clearly on the page. Our editorial team operates independently of our commercial team.
Content Updates
Articles are reviewed when significant new evidence emerges, or on a periodic schedule. The date of the most recent review is shown at the top of each article.
